RE: Filming Llama Llove 3-11, 12 and 13-2000
For “Pet Story” for the Animal Planet
Dear Sandy:
Glass DiFede Productions is working on a new television program entitled a “Pet Story”. We are currently in the process of producing the first thirty episodes of this new half hour documentary series. “Pet Story” will air on the Animal Planet Network mid-summer of 2000. This half-hour program is scheduled to air Monday through Friday at 4pm EST and will reach over 50 million homes nationwide. Each half hour program is dedicated to the story of a pet and it's owner. Our stories focus on the relationships people have with their pets, each story is dynamic and ongoing.
We will be working with you and your family on our episode entitled “Llama Llove”. Animal Planet along with the producers of Glass Difede Productions fell in love with this story because of your unique relationship with Charlie and the ongoing story of Charlie going to visit a Nursing Home for the first time while we will be there to “capture the moment”. Charlie is a unique llama, he has a lot of personality and is quite lovable and intelligent. He won your heart when you were first training him and after becoming a member of your family, he soon showed you that he had a disposition enabling him to help people in a therapeutic capacity. We are looking forward to sharing your story through interviews and action learning the "back story" of how Charlie became a member of the Stillwell family, through his work with your brother in law Fred to finally Charlie's first visit to Franciscan Health System Care Center in Bothell, WA.
Each episode is told in the words of the people we are focused on. We do not have a host, and only use outside narration when absolutely necessary. Your story will be told in your own words. The program is focused on the relationships between animals and “their people”. We look for programs that are dynamic and ongoing as well as visually interesting. “Llama Llove” is such a story and we are quite pleased to be able to share it with the viewers of Animal Planet.
